Merchant processing with pricing you can actually read.
eBurst Payments is an Independent Sales Organization (ISO) for NMI. We help you choose between Interchange-Plus and Flat Rate pricing, get you approved through NMI’s application, and support you after you’re live.
How your merchant account is set up.
We think you should know every company involved in moving your money. Here’s the chain, start to finish.
You, the merchant
You apply through our NMI application link, sign your merchant agreement, and accept payments.
eBurst Payments (ISO)
We advise on pricing, submit your application through NMI, and provide ongoing support. We don’t hold your funds.
NMI
The payments platform and gateway. NMI and its processing partners underwrite and approve your account.
Sponsor bank & networks
A sponsor bank and the card networks settle transactions. Deposits go straight to your business bank account.
Interchange-Plus or Flat Rate?
Both are legitimate, both are fully disclosed in your merchant agreement. The right one depends on your volume and how much you value predictability.
Interchange-Plus (IC+)
You pay the exact interchange and assessment fees the card networks charge for each transaction, plus a fixed markup that doesn’t change by card type.
- Usually the lowest total cost once you process steady volume
- Every fee itemized on your statement
- Debit and basic rewards cards cost you less automatically
- Ideal for retail, restaurants, B2B and higher-ticket sales

Flat Rate
One blended rate for every card, plus a per-transaction fee. You know what each sale costs before you ring it up.
- Easy-to-read statements
- Same cost whether a customer uses debit or a premium rewards card
- Great for new businesses and lower monthly volume
- Ideal for service businesses, mobile and online sales

Not sure which to pick? Send us a recent processing statement and we’ll show you what you would have paid under each model — no obligation. Request a statement review.
What to have ready for your application.
NMI’s online application takes about 15 minutes. Having these ready speeds up underwriting:
- Business legal name, EIN and business address
- Owner name, address and government-issued ID
- A voided check or bank letter for your deposit account
- Recent processing statements, if you already accept cards
- Your website, or a description of how you sell
Approval decisions on merchant accounts are made by NMI and its partners. We’ll keep you posted and help answer any underwriting questions.
Processing clients get more

What does it mean that eBurst Payments is an ISO?
An Independent Sales Organization is a company authorized to refer and support merchants for a payments provider. eBurst Payments is an ISO for NMI. We are not a bank, processor or card network, and merchant accounts are approved by NMI and its partners — not by us.
How does eBurst Payments get paid?
NMI pays us a share of the processing revenue on accounts we refer (often called “residuals”). That compensation comes out of the pricing disclosed in your merchant agreement — it is not an extra or hidden fee on your statement.
Does choosing IC+ or Flat Rate change what you earn?
Our compensation is set by our agreement with NMI and may vary by account and pricing model. That’s exactly why we show both side by side and will run a statement comparison for you, so you can choose based on your numbers.
Who do I call for support?
Call us first at (772) 356-3550 or email support@eburstservices.com. We handle most questions directly and work with NMI on anything that requires the platform.
Do I have to use eBurst financing to process with you?
No. Merchant processing and eBurst payment plans are separate services. Use one, the other, or both.
